- Elective Courses
While the majority of elective courses are developed and delivered by SCAI, students may also take approved electives from other Schools. Specific academic requirements for each program are detailed within the corresponding degree sections. - Academic Handbook

Important: Minimum required grades indicated in the recommended study plans refer to the expected grades necessary for academic progression within a major, particularly in relation to prerequisite requirements. In cases of transfer between majors, acceptable passing grades may vary depending on the entry requirements of the target major.
GENERAL NOTES FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS:
Essential rules and standards governing academic performance, probation, and pathways to timely degree completion.
- Undergraduate students are expected to attend all classes for the courses in which they are officially registered at the University. A student who maintains both a semester GPA and a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.00 or higher is considered to be in Good Academic Standing.
- A student who does not meet the criteria for Good Academic Standing will be placed on Academic Probation. Any student who receives a grade that hinders academic progress in their program of study is permitted to retake the corresponding course.
- Undergraduate students may be considered for a fifth year of study if they are unable to fulfill graduation requirements by the end of the final semester of their fourth year and are reasonably expected to complete all remaining degree requirements within one additional academic year.
- Capstone Project – The final graduation work completed by the student. This includes: Undergraduate Capstone; Master Capstone; Master Thesis; PhD Dissertation.
To receive an academic degree from the University, a student must satisfy requirements related to credits, grade point average, program of study and courses. The University maintains these requirements in accordance with internationally recognized expectations of academic performance and achievement. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that all requirements for graduation are fulfilled in a timely fashion. The students along with their Advisors follow internal documents of the University which specify all University, School and major requirements, and indicate whether the student has met the requirements and, if not, what the student must do to meet the requirement.
Graduation with Honors (Graduate students will receive "red" diploma, if he/she meets one of the following criteria):

- Completed academic record equals to 4.0 CGPA - "Distinction"
- Completed academic record equals to 3.9 CGPA and above - "Summa Cum Laude"
- Completed academic record equals to 3.8 CGPA and above - "Magna Cum Laude"
- Completed academic record equals to 3.67 CGPA and above - "Cum Laude"
SCAI provides an online Document Request Form to facilitate the efficient preparation of official school documents for students. Through this form, students may request various documents, including but not limited to:
- Official outgoing letters
- Confirmation of expected graduation date
- Letters addressed to external organizations and institution
- All documents are issued on the official School letterhead and signed by the Dean. Processing typically takes 1–3 working days from the date of submission.
- The Academic Warning (Mid-Term Status Report) is issued to students who receive three or more NS grades at mid-semester. This status serves as an early indication that the student is at risk of being placed on academic probation.
- Academic Probation is assigned at the end of a semester in which a student’s GPA falls below 2.00. Undergraduate students may not remain on academic probation for more than three semesters in total during their studies; exceeding this limit will result in dismissal from the University.
Expenses – All direct expenses necessary for the implementation and completion of the Project. These may include materials, components, fieldwork, or other academic requirements.
Responsibility for Arranging Funding – The Manager for Academic and Student Affairs of the respective program is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the funding process for Project-related expenses on behalf of the School.

- – Have active status in the Program and are registered in a course with a Project component;
- – Have no outstanding financial obligations to the University;
- – PhD students only: must not be receiving support from other funded research grants.
- Option 1 - Advance payment to Student;
- Option 2 - Reimbursement of Project expenses to Student based on the originals of supporting documents;
- Option 3 - Direct purchase by the School.
